We are looking for a

Director of Growth

We are looking for a senior Director of Growth to own and scale Mech's merchant acquisition and revenue engine. This is a revenue ownership role — not a traditional marketing seat. You will work directly with the CEO to build a predictable, measurable growth system across outbound, inbound, partnerships, and product marketing, with a focus on acquiring and expanding Shopify merchants.

Responsibilities:

  • Own merchant pipeline generation across outbound, inbound, partnerships, and product marketing channels
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategy for acquiring Shopify and ecommerce brands
  • Build and manage a multi-channel demand generation engine optimized for pipeline quality, not just volume
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and sales enablement assets that speak to ecommerce operators and Shopify merchants
  • Own GTM systems, CRM integrity, attribution, and reporting that connect activity to revenue outcomes
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate platform features into clear merchant value propositions
  • Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities with Shopify agencies, app partners, and ecommerce communities
  • Continuously test and optimize channels, messaging, and conversion across the full funnel
  • Build and manage a growth team and specialist partners over time while staying hands-on where needed

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS growth, demand generation, or revenue marketing
  • Proven track record of owning pipeline generation and delivering measurable revenue outcomes
  • Deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem — its merchants, apps, agencies, and community
  • Experience selling or marketing to ecommerce brands and DTC operators
  • Strong familiarity with modern GTM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce, sequencing tools, and analytics platforms
  • Ability to operate as a player-coach — comfortable setting strategy and executing hands-on
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for ecommerce audiences
  • Experience in an early-stage or scaling SaaS environment where ownership matters more than process

Nice to Have:

  • Experience at a Shopify app, ecommerce SaaS, or helpdesk/CX platform
  • Familiarity with customer support workflows, ticketing tools, or self-service platforms
  • Experience building or growing a presence on the Shopify App Store
